We are absolutely spoilt for choice when it comes to coffee in the Margaret River Region!
As locals ourselves and partial to a brew, it would be a crime not to share our tips with you! So, in no particular order, below is what we consider the must do places coffee lovers should visit.

Wyl & Co, Margaret River
A buzzing café tucked away off the main street on Fearn Ave., Wyl & Co offers the perfect brew and a healthy menu! They have a real paddock to plate food philosophy and source their produce locally. Their menu is updated regularly so check their socials to stay up to date!
Drift, Margaret River
One of our all time favourites, Drift consistently serve up a perfect brew in a relaxed café environment. Drift is easy to find, off the main street and a favorite with locals. Sit out the front with the paper and watch the world go by or cozy up in a corner inside for a quiet chat. Great breakfast and lunch menu including take away options and dog friendly on the verandah so your pooch is welcome to join you for a cuppa.
Egberts, Margaret River
A perfect spot right in town, you can’t miss it. Egberts is French in style offering sweets and pastries to accompany your brew! Casual espresso style dining and a favorite with the locals you might find a line up but its worth it! Our favorite are the savory pastries… yum! Taking your own keep cup is encouraged!
The Margaret River Bakery, Margaret River
A quirky, European style café on the edge of town. You can’t visit Margaret River without getting a coffee at the Bakery! Serving coffee to the locals since 1960 this place is the true coffee heart of Margaret River. Grab a croissant with your coffee to take away or enjoy the eclectic surrounds and stay for breakfast. Sitting here for an hour on an old velvet couch you’ll truly feel the local vibe.
Sidekick Cafe, Margaret River
Margaret River’s main street espresso bar. Choose your style! Pour-over, cold-drip or espresso! Made from Duke’s freshly roasted single origin coffee beans. This place is all about pouring great coffee and sharing good vibes. Sidekick Café will stimulate your senses, so why not drop in during your visit to our region and check them out.
West Coffee Co, Margaret River
Perfectly located close to the Skate Park, West Coffee Co is the perfect coffee stop with your family. A casual experience where you can sit out on the lawn with your brew and relax under the shady trees. Heaps of parking here as well which makes it one of the more convenient stops. Buy some beans to take home while you’re there! If you’re headed back to Perth be sure to check out their new Fremantle location as well!
Yahava KoffeeWorks, Margaret River
2 kilometres south of town or a short 5 minute drive, you will find Yahava KoffeeWorks.
Boasting the finest range of coffee beans from around the world, be prepared to enter a grown-up’s playground where the theme is all about “Coffee.” As you enter you will be surrounded by the most amazing sights and smells. The beans will be roasting before your eyes. Not sure which coffee to buy? Then have a chat to one of the experienced coffee makers and enjoy a tasting! What’s not to love about this coffee lover’s heaven?
The White Elephant Beach Café, Gnarabup
Ok, sometimes it’s not just the coffee that makes for that “Wow” factor. The White Elephant Café is located an easy 12 minute drive from Margaret River at the Gnarabup Beach Boat ramp. Enjoy your coffee perched on the side of the hill looking out over the Indian Ocean. They also serve a tasty breakfast and lunch menu. Stay for an hour or half a day! You may even be lucky enough to see whales or dolphins passing by.
Yardbyrd, Witchcliffe
Ok, this hidden gem is worth the drive! Ten minutes south of Margaret River, in Witchliffe, you’ll find this café on the main street. Yardbyrd oozes friendly café vibes and stimulates your senses in more than one way. Eclectic furniture and crockery, all sorts of history on the walls and the absolute best carrot cake around! We love this place to warm our souls even if its a rainy day!
The Gourmet Food Merchant, Cowaramup
A favorite spot of ours, 15 minutes drive north of Margaret River in Cowaramup. The Gourmet Food Merchant’s service is second to none and the store is just filled with beautiful items to take home with you! Stop here in the morning for a coffee before filling up a picnic basket with gourmet products to take with you for the day!
The Black Sheep Deli, Cowaramup
An absolute institution in Cowaramup. The Black Sheep Deli brew and serve their coffee with love. The food is paddock to plate, local and seasonal and oozes color and healthy vibes! This place is busy with locals and visitors alike but still feels slow and relaxing. We can’t visit the Black Sheep without finishing with one of their fresh juices. So good! Taking your own cup is encouraged!
Merchant and Maker, Dunsborough
If you find yourself further afield in Dunsborough you will not be disappointed popping into Merchant and Maker for your caffeine fix! Freshly ground beans, friendly service and a reputation for the best poached eggs in town! We love this central location for a brew and breaky!
Goanna Gallery Cafe
Looking for a destination coffee spot? Goanna Gallery Cafe is about half an hour from Margaret River, nestled in the forest near Dunsborough. It is truly a hidden gem, perfect year round but easily enjoyed on a rainy day! They have ample seating and parking and a magical menu filled with fresh produce. There’s also a gallery here filled with local artisans work so be sure to buy yourself a little gift as well!
