The Beerfarm, it’s all in the name! Quite literally, beer brewed onsite and served up in a converted barn on an old dairy farm, providing the ultimate setting of rolling pastures to sit back and enjoy a simple fuss-free lager, a complex IPA or a refreshing cider.
When it comes to food, the team are all about supporting local, and as well as utilizing their own farm produce, they support their neighbouring farms and local growers, making their menu not only delicious and tasty, but fresh and sustainable. But mostly did we say tasty?!
With a philosophy that All Are Welcome, bring the kids who will love the gigantic slip and slide during summer, as well as the doggo’s!

Black Brewing Co.
Can’t decide between a winery or a brewery, casual or fine dining? We know the feeling, so we’ve done the research (it’s tough we know, but someone has to do it!), and we’ve found the answer!
Black Brewing Co is not your average brewery, in fact it’s a restaurant, brewery, distillery, alongside some of Margaret River's finest wines, all conveniently bundled up in to one glorious setting. Think high ceilings, large wooden doors, a stone open-fire place and an alfresco deck overlooking the water.
Enjoy something from the tapas-style menu with a Mexican twist paired with a chardonnay, or a classic juicy burger and hot chips washed down with a refreshing pint. Combining all the good stuff that Margaret River has to offer, if you’ve only got time for one stop, this is it.

Cowaramup Brewing Company
Cowaramup Brewing Company has been operating for the last 15 years, making it one of the oldest breweries in the region. The venue has shaded decking and a grassed area with huge, family friendly grounds for the kids to run around on.
Their most popular beer is the Cowaramup Pilsner, but they also offer a Hefeweizen, a Summer Ale, an Indian Pale Ale, a Chocolate Porter (our personal favourite!) and a Reggie Mandarina which has aromas of tangerine and citrus.
If you’re after a meal, the Cowaramup Brewing Company offers a small menu with a focus on local produce, alongside delicious pizzas!
One of the coolest things about the Cowaramup Brewing Company is that they have a Working Craft Brewery Tour, where you get a behind-the-scenes look at their working brewery and how they turn just four key quality ingredients into their range of tasty craft beers. You also receive a six-course degustation tasting menu alongside their craft beers to ensure maximum enjoyment of each flavour profile. Bookings are essential for this experience.

The Sophisticated Beast
The Sophisticated Beast is one of the regions newest, smallest, and most interesting microbreweries. Their Instagram bio says that they “are a small brewery who thinks big… (and they) don’t dabble in the mundane” and this is true! As well as producing interesting small batch beers, they also make cold brew coffee and pink oyster mushrooms, which are grown on the used coffee grinds and grains from the brewing process.
While other breweries in the Margaret River Region are famous for their large properties and ability to host a big crowd, The Sophisticated Beast offers an intimate experience at a small cellar door tucked away in the business park of Vasse.
They do farmhouse and sour ales, gluten free IPAs, kolschs, saison and weisses, amongst heaps of other seriously small batch varieties, with fun names like “Margot,” “Franco,” “Leonard,” and “George,” there is something here for everyone to try!
The Sophisticated Beast also has a weekly presence at the Margaret River Farmers Market so if you can’t make it out to their cellar door, you can try and buy their beers in town every Saturday morning!

You’ll find this place to be heaven for any beer nerds – a tap house within a production brewery! Everywhere you look you’ll see all the equipment they use to make their amazing beers and it makes for interesting viewing especially if you’re into the production side of things.
This is a spot you can come to try some of their famous beers, such as the lager, pale ale, session ale, west coast IPA, ginger beer and apple cider as well as their flag ship tasting paddle. They also have a small selection of pizzas available as well some bar snacks.
Cheeky HQ is based in Vasse, so if you’re staying in Busselton it’s closer than their Brewpub, and it’s also just around the corner from The Sophisticated Beast so why not hit up two breweries in one go?
