If we were to make the call on the single best cocktail in Margaret River, this would be it! Even better, you’ll get to enjoy it in the industrial-chic, small bar, Morries.
Morries is a Margaret River institution. Their team is a tight-knit, fun crew and experts in mixology. More than just boozy beverages, they’ll serve you good times.
Trophy Wife is a sour and fruity pink peppercorn infused Wyborowa vodka and apricot liqueur mix with a touch of citrus. If you’ve only got time for one drink, this is the one.

Rum Float Boat is a hit with the lads and ladies of Margaret River and once you taste it you’ll understand why. Packing a punch on the rum boat float is like a sophisticated nod to your favorite authentic tiki bar. A short stroll down the hill from Morries is Yonder Bar… a rock n roll style dive bar. Licensed for only a small crowd of 25 this rocking good time is surprisingly exclusive.
Eclectically furnished, think velvet lounges and mismatched tables and pumping out loud music, the focus here is on the vibe, the drinks, and your mates. The team here knows their booze and Cherry Bomb is a cocktail that sets tongues wagging about town.

5. Margarita, Yonder Bar
A true classic oozing style and class, a ‘Margi’ in Margies? That’s a yes from us!
A well-known drink to be enjoyed in the unique little gem that is Yonder Bar. Locals say Yonder does the best Margarita’s around and it’s really no surprise given the uber-cool, experienced team behind the bar.
Personally, we like to pull up on the couch in the corner with a couple of our best mates, kick back to some rock’n’roll, and have perhaps more than one Margarita.

Leeuwin Estate Winery offers an exclusive wine tasting tour, which includes a tour of the winery and vineyards, a sample of five Leeuwin wines, and a delicious 2-course lunch, with wine. 6. Rio’s Coconut Tommy, Rio’s Bar
The new kid on the block, Rio’s Bar has put their own twist on a classic Tommy’s; setting it apart from the rest and landing it a top spot in our favorites list.
Coupled with the ambiance of a rooftop small bar and main street view it’s perfect for a thirsty Thursday beverage after work or a night out on your weekend down south.
Their coconut Tommy’s gives off some serious holiday vibes featuring 1800 Tequila, agave syrup, fresh lime, and of course, pineapple. Yum! Taking us to rancho relaxo just thinking about it.
The bar itself is a fun place to be as the sun goes down, enjoying a couple of drinks with friends, listening to tunes spun by local DJs, and soaking up the fresh air of Margaret River.

A sophisticated number served with class on the outskirts of town at Margaret River Distilling Co.
Featuring Giniversity Barrel-aged gin, orange marmalade, grapefruit juice, and shaken over ice Lady Marmalade will have you feeling all sorts of fancy.
The experience at the distilling co is more than just the delight of tasting our favorite cocktail. You can do a tasting of their Giniversity, Limeburners, and Tiger Snake whiskey range before sitting out on the deck, looking into the forest, and enjoying your cocktail.
A quieter, more tranquil environment suitable for a day drink, we love this one for a bike ride and a catch-up with a friend.

8. The Grove Distillery
Not one particular cocktail to recommend at The Grove Distillery, but we can’t have a list about the best cocktails in Margaret River and not include these guys – the very first distillery in Margaret River!
The Grove Distillery began back in 1995, and over more than 20 years of hard work, they’ve sourced the best botanicals, distilled and matured in barrels all right here in Margaret River!
They have a unique range of spirits, including malt whisky, gin, dark rum, spiced rum, vodka, liqueurs and heaps more!
If you’re looking for cocktail recipes, they also have a massive section of cocktail recipes using their products on their website.
However, hands down the coolest thing about The Grove Distillery is that they offer a Distillery Tour With Tastings with head distiller, James Reed.
Not only do you get to meet James and ask him any burning questions you might have, you get an exclusive sneak peak at the Still House and Barrel Room where all the magic happens!
You also get to try the spirits they create! What an awesome experience not available anywhere else in Margaret River.
Tours run twice a day Tuesday through Thursday at 11 am and 1.30 pm. Tickets are available here.
